 Doug Robertson has been a full time professional photographer for over thirty years. Doug owns and operates the largest professional photography studio in Wichita, and he photographs everything from commercial advertising to family groups, high school seniors, children, babies, and pets.  Formally trained through the Professional Photographers of America and the Winona Institute of Professional Photography previously located in Mt. Prospect Illinois, Doug has a Masters degree in photography and is a Certified Professional Photographer. Doug has been Kansas Professional Photographer of the Year and the Heart of America Professional Photographer of the Year on numerous occasions. Doug has had work selected and displayed around the world on the Permanent Loan Collection through the Professional Photographers of America and has had numerous works selected for display at Epcot Center at Disney World in Orlando Florida. Doug’s awards include 2 Kodak Gallery Awards and a Fuji Masterpiece Award, among numerous state and national awards.

 Doug has directed and produced two full feature documentary films:  “Blackbear Bosin”, which aired on KPTS in May 2014, and his latest feature “Indians In Aviation”,   which is an official selection of the 2014 Red Nation Film Festival in Los Angeles, California.  Doug has also worked as Director of Photography on other film projects.

 Doug is currently working on illustrating a children’s book and is in the research and development stage of his 3rd full feature documentary film. Doug enjoys teaching photography and spending time with his two dogs, cats and his wife, Deborah, who is the Museum Director of the Mid-America All-Indian Center, Wichita, Kansas.
